Carlota Pico had the chance to speak with Sara Cronsioe about her role at GetAccept, a sales enablement platform that helps people track the sales process and close deals faster. Sara is based in Sweden, and works on a marketing team of 11 people to create content and adapt it to different markets. In this interview, she discusses the benefits and challenges of working at a quickly growing startup, and how she stays inspired.

You can watch the full conversation in the video above or on our YouTube channel, listen to the podcast on Apple and Spotify, and read our recap below.

Key takeaways

  • GetAccept has offices in the US, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and France, and is currently focused on promoting sales enablement across the European market.
  • The marketing team does almost everything in house, focusing mainly on English but also translating to local languages—which clearly drives greater engagement.
  • One significant challenge is to create core content that applies to Europe as a whole, while also taking into account cultural differences between countries.
  • Working in a startup environment means navigating rapid expansion, but it also provides constant energy and inspiration.
  • Sara focuses on interviews, blog posts, webinars and other content featuring admirable industry figures, to create an atmosphere of sharing and support.

The numbers make it clear that creating content in local languages will give us greater reach.

Rapid-fire recs

What’s an app or tool that you can’t work without?

We use Slack, SEMrush and Google Docs, but HubSpot is probably the most important tool for me. We use it for the blog, and it saves me time on publishing posts. It’s a great CRM system because it gathers all the information you need in one place.

A marketing website or topic that you follow?

In terms of topics, sales enablement and SaaS. I also get a lot of inspiration from HubSpot’s blog, which has a diverse range of content. And I follow a Swedish SaaS news site called Breakit for the latest industry updates.

A valuable resource, event or group?

There’s a Finnish company called Vainu that has a lot of webinars with sales tips and tricks. We’re also planning to host a sales enablement event later this year, depending on what happens with COVID-19.
